WazirX Hacker Continues To Launder Stolen Ethereum (ETH) Through Crypto Mixer Tornado Cash: PeckShield

The hacker who looted greater than $230 million value of crypto property from Indian trade WazirX in July continues to launder their stolen Ethereum (ETH), in line with blockchain safety agency PeckShield.

PeckSchild notes an handle linked to the hacker transferred 5,000 ETH value about $12 million to a brand new pockets on Thursday.

That new pockets instantly laundered roughly 1,600 ETH value $3.86 million to the Ethereum-based coin mixing service Twister Money, a controversial platform that helps customers conceal their digital property.

The hacker has been on the transfer lately: Earlier this week, one other handle linked to the WazirX exploit funneled 2600.1 ETH value about $6.5 million to Twister Money.

In July, the hacker looted the Indian inventory trade for $52.5 million value of Ethereum, $102 million of Shiba Inu (SHIB), $11.24 million of Polygon (MATIC), $7.6 million of Pepe (PEPE), $3.5 million of Gala ( GALA ) and $5.79 million value of Tether ( USDT ), in line with crypto tracker Lookonchain.

Final month, WazirX introduced that it might reverse all transactions and restore all related account balances to what they had been earlier than the withdrawal freeze on July 18.

Crypto sleuth ZachXBT says the hack seems to be traced again to notorious North Korean digital asset hacking group The Lazarus Group.
